Cartoons That Empower Women

Biography

I'm committed to empowering women, and I'm passionate about loving, nurturing, and providing a better life for our inner child. Through my cartoons, I connect with people in a lighthearted way, whether they're addressing a serious or a lighthearted topic.

Projects

I'm still very proud of my work for the BBC, Women's Health, and the article in Forbes.

This or that

Sketchbook or iPad? That’s not fair—I can’t choose :). Although the iPad is better for clean results, easy posting, client work, no hassle with scanning, etc., I always take a sketchbook with me wherever I go, and I seem to be able to capture my emotions better in it.
Pencil or pen? I always have a pencil with me, but not necessarily a pen. However, I enjoy both phases of the process equally!
Black-and-white or full color? Full color!
Creativity in the morning or creativity in the middle of the night? Midnight always wins, but I’d love to become a super early bird someday.
Perfectly planned or happy accidents? My nervous system loves perfectly planned and perfectly executed projects :)
Details or the big picture? Details !
Coffee shop or studio (or somewhere else)? Sittingquietly on the couch still works best for me—that’s how it all started.
Museum visit or nature walk?
Nature walk. Give me the ocean or a forest, and I’ll come back with a bunch of new ideas.
Designing alone or collaborating? I love projects, but when I’m working on a creative project, I want to be the sole creator.
Serif or sans-serif? It depends on what I’m using the fonts for, but I think I’d generally go with serif.
